- Supportive services to help downsized employees re-enter the job market (Interviewing clothing, uniforms, child care, and transportation stipends/bus passes are a few of the ways we have provided support each year to downsized employees depending on our budget.)
- Relocation Assistance to downsized employees who have job opportunities outside the Coastal Bend Region

This one year credit program reduces the federal tax liability of private, for-profit employers. The exact amount of net tax savings depends on your tax bracket and qualified wages paid to the eligible employee. Wages paid to temporary, seasonal, part-time, and full-time employees qualify for credit. There is no limit to how many employees you can claim tax credit.

The Texas Skills Development Fund is designed to assist new or expanding business and/or trade unions develop customized training to expand their workforce and to assist small- and medium-sized business networks and consortiums sponsor training initiatives. The legislature appropriated $25 million for Skills Development Fund programs in Texas.
- You must provide any discharged employee a final paycheck no later than the sixth day after the discharge.
- You must pay the employee all commissions and bonuses according to the terms of any agreements you have made.
- If the employee is entitled under a written agreement or policy to vacation, holiday, sick, parental, or severance leave/pay, you must pay these amounts as you would regular wages.
- If the employee owes the company money or has any of the company's property, you may not withold any of the employee's wages to offset the debts without the employee's prior written authorization.
